Llayton’s Cause…

As many of our patients know, we have been raising money to help a little boy raise money for new cochlear Implants. At the Quadrant Dental Practice we would like to thank all of our patients to helping us raise £300.00 for Llayton.

We would also like to announce the winner of our raffle to win the new Oral B Electric toothbrush, the winning raffle strip: 51,52,53,54,55 – Congratulations to Mrs Kirsteen Clark!

Thank you again to all our patients to their continuing support.

Hygiene Service Fees

We would like to inform all our patients that as of 1st of August 2013 the fee for our Hygienist Appointments will be £35. This decision has not been taken lightly.

Our last price increase was in 2009 but with the continuing year on year rises in surgery and material costs this fee increase cannot be avoided.

Please rest assured that your dental health and wellbeing remains our key priority and we would like to thank you very much for your continued support and understanding.

Painfree Injections at Quadrant!

We know that some patients get more nervous than others at the mere sight of a needle and syringe. At Quadrant we are keen to make the experience of visiting the dentist as comfortable as possible and by use of “The Wand” we are able to provide a painless dental injection solution. The Wand is essentially a computer-controlled dental injection. The flow rate of the local anaesthetic is controlled by a computer. This means that the injection is guaranteed to be slow and steady and therefore comfortable. Most people who have had a bad experience with injections think that needles sting because the skin is pierced. The most common cause of pain during injection of local anaesthetic is infact due to the Dentist injecting into the gums too quickly, the idea of the Wand is to take out the human error.         And it doesn’t look scary either!! The handpiece device          looks just like a ball point pen (see below). It is even held           like a pen! Feel free to ask your dentist for more information.
